Life was very simple when people used to call me by my original name " Maninder ". I never knew that name has so much importance till I entered NITIE, Mumbai. An MBA college, famous for its supply chain domain, and located near Powai. Since the day I entered this college, people have tried almost everything to just remember my name, but they are not able to. Because to them, all Sardars look same!!!!  OMG!! Maninder has become "Manvinder", "Manpreet", "Mandeep", "Manmeet", "Saardar" and many more after entering NITIE. And my reaction is WOW!! Only this was left after Santa Banta, 12 bje wala Sardar joke and a lot. So this was my first reaction when I came to NITIE. Out of 800 students, 50 professors, and other staff, around 80% of the people believe that all sardars look same. He has always been my inspiration, he motivated me a lot throughout my life till date.  A great personality who had a pure love for his mother tongue and country. A Punjabi writer who had written 10 books, 5 short stories books for children, Translator of numerous books from English to Punjabi, songs writer and who had appeared in every newspaper of his state for all accolades he won. he was Born in the year 1939 and stayed all of his life in Punjab. Retired as a Manager from the Indian Postal services and won more than 100 awards in the field of writing, poetry and literature.
