Dance to Love: Part 6

Celebrations!

Later joining the work, Sahaj was busy in exploring new things, meeting new colleagues, mastering new skills, and tackling new responsibilities . Akuti was busy in getting good grades to fulfill the eligibility criteria of the final placements. Good grades are always important for job availability, graduate programs, organization and personal development. For Sahaj the experience of the job was great. After such a long time, his family was very happy. Everything was great and joyful. He met new acquaintances at work and he made a group of people with the different backgrounds, but with the same goal: Success and Happiness. They started hanging out on the weekends, eating food, going to night clubs, watching movies, trekking, biking, etc. Akuti was finding hard to get the things smooth for getting better grades, but Sahaj was always supporting her and she was trying to work smartly on the things. They started discussing about new things from his work day and about her new study schedule. After the first salary, Sahaj gifted a watch to his mother and an anklet to her.

Akuti performed really well in the midterms and she was among the top 5  in the batch. After 3 months, they met in September for her birthday. Sahaj did a lot of research on the internet to find an excellent gift for her and he decided to buy a watch for her. He borrowed a bike from his friend for a day and he called her to get ready for the day. She was very happy and it was her first birthday after they were together. She wore a Maroon patiala suit with a combination of silk kurta and green net plain dupatta in which she was looking gorgeous. The kurta had an ornate, broad yoke with soft embroidery and green brocade patchwork. The charisma of Punjabi suit never fades and she was looking picture perfect in that suit. She completed the look with a pair of jutis and earrings. She left her hair open. He was stunned as this was the first time he was seeing her in the suit. For one moment, he was thinking about hugging her, but his shyness came into his way.

And then he started thinking about a quote from  Terry Goodkind, "Wizard's First Rule" book

“She looked so beautiful in the moonlight, but it wasn't only the way she looked, it was what was inside her, everything from her intelligence and courage to her wit, and the special smile she gave only to him. He would slay a dragon, if there were such a thing, just to see that smile. He knew he would never want anyone else for as long as he lived. He would rather spend the rest of his life alone than with someone else. There could be no one else.”

She came out of her hostel and kissed him. For a moment, things became still for him. It was like wildfire for him. He was able to feel the flow of air and the smell of flowers. It was like his lips touched the silk and he was not ready to leave the touch of that. The next moment she said Hi! And smiled after kissing him. He was still in the past, loving the taste of her soft lips. She punched him in the back and he was in the live world again. On the way to the party place he was just smiling and singing a song. She was just talking about the things, but he was in the moments he never expected.

They reached at the party place after 15 minutes and it was still a surprise for her. He made reservations for the birthday at the lovely Gardens Resort, which was kind of ancient in its structure and shape. She entered a classy restaurant with no one in the hall and a band waiting  for her. The moment she entered the hall, the band started singing romantic songs and made the moment more rocking with their music. They sang an unplugged version  of happy birthday song for her. Sahaj was singing along with the band for her. There were balloons all around and the hall was full of glitter when they popped out a glitter bomb. After they finished off the song , one by one they started wishing her and at last there was Sahaj waiting in line to wish her. She was very, very happy with the surprise and she hugged him.  He was really happy.

After that he ordered a champagne with the cake. This was the first time they were having champagne together and she was always waiting for this moment where someone special would wish her with all the happiness and the cake with champagne. He poured a glass for her and she cut the cake finally. He gifted her a watch and she wore that. That celebration night was the best ever for her and for him as well.

They had dinner together and while coming back to college, she kissed him again. This time he was more in the live world and he was feeling her love for him. He left her at the hostel gate and she said to him that" This was the best birthday ever celebrated for her! She was not expecting this much, but he has done a lot for her. Thank you Love

That night he stayed at the friend's home. The next day they met for the movie and after then he left.

After two months, it was sahaj's birthday and she gifted him a wallet and buddy pillow. It was not easy for Akuti to come and celebrate with Sahaj, and even then he was happy with all the things she did for him. It was more important for him to have her in his life than materialistic gifts.  Akuti made an album for him and she pasted their photos with the memory notes.  That was really beautiful and he started looking that album once a day to feel her presence around. While all this, he wrote a one year story about them and he sent a final copy of that to her. It was a 40 page novel with all the main memories explained in detail. Though it was a concept copied from her album and they were teasing each other every day for that.

In that semester, Akuti scored 8.2 SGPA and Sahaj was ready for the training period at Chandigarh "city the beautiful' in Punjab for a three months stint.

Thank You NITIE! and Mumbai Meri Jaan!

On 11 th June 2015, NITIE’s admission office released 4 th  list of cleared students for PGDIM batch 2015-17. Boom!! I got the last seat … sheer luck I guess. That feeling was just splendid when I got a call from my friend who is studying in IIM Lucknow that Bhai! Ho gea tera. Time was 4:20 PM and I was working on my new project. After that call I started calling my closed ones. I can still feel that moment because when you’re a supply chain and operations enthusiast and you get admission to best B-school in that domain then nothing else can explain your happiness. NITIE is best among all B-schools let it be IIM A, B, C or any else when it comes to supply chain and operations. Big question, Why MBA?  was answered and that too in style. Oh my God! How would that be to go to classes again, meeting new people, living in Mumbai, doing new assignments, late night chats, parties and lot of college fun.  I called my boss personally and told him everything. He was glad yet befud

Characteristics of Bhangra :)

Bhangra is something I always love to watch and perform. The energy level, coordination, and team participation are something I have learnt from Bhangra. As far as characteristics are concerned, following areas can be discussed: Health : Bhangra needs a lot of energy and stamina. One has to jump several times during performance being a part of joining steps and formation. Thump on stage should be there when someone is doing the bhangra which one feels proud of. Moving on the whole stage, moving your legs in air half of the time, cardio level warms up (performers play Kabaddi generally to warm up), using a lot of props (very heavy most of the time) and much more make body lean & athletic. So health wise Bhangra has an excellent plan for you. Team skills : Bhangra needs a team of at least 8–10 people. Coordination is a core of bhangra. If one performer is not giving his/her 100% means performance would be affected. Steps and formation are just 40% of the whole ac

When I realized what I was doing!.....

You start adoring someone, it could be your first day in college, office or anywhere else in this diminutive world. There is a very fine line between loving or adoring someone. Generally, we draw a conclusion that if we love him/her unconditionally then he/she should also understand that. How could someone be so egotistic that he/she is only thinking about him/herself and not about the other person? At one point of time in my life, I went through the same phase. I started liking one girl who was certainly not very much interested in me, but I expressed my selfishness to literally force her to say yes to me. Now there are many cases to explain this, one could be the case that she was my good friend so she thought to give it a chance at least. Second could be that she was going through a difficult time with her boyfriend and she needed someone who could take care of her, not for the time pass but to really make her feel good. I guess I took advantage of that to let her say yes. Rea
