Good parenting & development of cognitive skills in teenagers

These days the real communication between parents and teens has been lost due to technological advancements which are increasing the gap between generations exponentially. The impact of such things can be seen in children at their early development stages. Slow personality development, negative attitude, stressed atmosphere, poor cognitive skills, and hence bad overall confidence to face the world. Parenting is one of the biggest contributors in engaging all the personality and growth related elements of teens these days. Moreover, only parents could comprehend the requirements of teens and give required time for them to discuss their daily challenges, accomplishment, and learning so that it can help teens improve their conversational and relational abilities. Improvement of cognitive skills depends hugely on an interaction of parents with children regularly. Games, pattern building exercises, to infuse curiosity and creativity through experience, and interest building learni...

Bar is high, but the ladder is you :)

Just a random letter to someone special …. Everyone can connect to this. Love has no boundaries. At one point of time you love someone more than yourself and at another point, he/she becomes a stranger to you. This happens because love doesn't believe in boundaries. It demands affection and care. Selfless trust, attraction, closeness, charm, and presence of positive aura define love. There is a passion which drives two souls together to form a beautiful life. Love has that beauty which could break all the barriers and bring opposites together. We share energy when we love and holds a priority wherein love takes a hotspot. This is a time when people get to learn about themselves in a most learned way. I also learned a lot about myself going through the same phase. After a breakup, I was alone, depressed, aimless and negative. The worst thing was getting down to negative aura after experiencing all the positives in your love. I loved my ex a lot and she also loved me a ...

An affair with Domestic Violence: A short note

Domestic violence plays a very crucial role in one's personality development particularly when you're on a victim side. For types of domestic violence, check: Domestic Violence in India My family faced domestic violence due to my father. I'm 26 and since the very first day, I started understanding worldly affairs I have witnessed my father abusing my mother every day. She has endured a lot. He has always been an alcoholic and a loser in his life. He married at the age of 22 when my mother was 18 and after one year I was born. My brother was born after two years. Post-1992, my father never took responsibility of my family. He was in an automotive spare parts sale and repair business in which he lost hold with time and started drinking too much as a solution to face failure. It was a daily routine of my family wherein he would come home and ill-treat my mother. A lot of times my mother tried to support him so that he could stop drinking and focus on starting somethi...

Love!

Love is so tormenting that pain becomes part of one's regular life once it happens. Ironically, everyone looks for love so that they can find happiness, but mostly they end up losing themselves to an unattended & cruel world where no one cares about them. Even the one to whom you have lost every happiness of your life, he/she would become stranger all of a sudden. For one moment, everything seems unworthy and waste. At that moment, life hits you hard and reality comes into the picture that nothing is permanent in life. That's a bitter truth! Why love asks for sacrifices? Lots of people lose their loved ones who they never thought would ever leave them and sometimes they get back those who they thought would never come back. In this whole process, love imprints pain permanently somewhere deep in your soul. This Pain kills everything and for some who gain through this pain live with strength, else culminate their love for anyone for whole life in front. In short, sac...

Rejections are Important!

Rejections are part of every individual's life in this world. Be it from life, society, family, friends, office, colleges, business etc., they always hurt. We have a lot of examples of personalities who started with a lot of rejections but ended with awesomely successful life. These days, to cope up with a stress of any rejection is in itself a difficult exercise. Most difficult phase is for students when they face rejections from their most aspired universities all around the world. There could be a lot of reasons behind that, but individuals start to blame themselves for not writing a good statement of purpose or cover letters. But really, is it a matter of concern when we see life as a cycle of success and failures? It's not at all easy to explain your life in mere 500 to 1000 words because world and life are more than college admissions any days and this is not the end of the world. Moreover, human values have no relation with colleges and what they teach to students....

E-commerce Companies & Logistics Management

There are lots of articles available online for studying the details of how the logistics of any e-commerce company work. I won’t share a specific logistics management process of Flipkart but yes, the following process is almost same with what Flipkart follows in their logistics division. So nowadays e-commerce companies maintain their own firm to fulfill requirements of customers. Flipkart has WS Retail for the same. Apart from this, they have independent sellers who provide products. Now for any e-commerce firm, there could be two processes to fulfill the customer order and which are: Seller - pickup hub - mother hub - delivery hub - Customer Fulfillment centres - mother hub - delivery hub - Customer Now, when a customer orders something on the site then the seller gets the order on the web kiosk being maintained between seller and e-commerce firm. Once, the seller accepts the order for delivery, he/she clicks web kiosk for acknowledgement of the same. In order to...

Internet of Things (IoT) impact on SCM

These days when we discuss next huge thing, our creative ability confines ourselves to certain limits that we stop imagining beyond limits. And whenever anyone has thought beyond this limit, he/she has discovered something unimaginable for all of us. Internet of Things is one among them. The horde conceivable outcomes that emerge from the ability to monitor and control things in the physical world electronically have motivated a surge of advancement and energy. It revolves around machine-to-machine (M2M) communication; cloud computing and networks of data-gathering sensors; mobile, virtual, and instantaneous connection. IoT has evolved from wireless technologies, micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS) and the Internet. Particularly discussing sensors is the thing that very surprising and   energising  in this idea of making individuals lives distinctive. When we discuss making machines "brilliant," we're not alluding entirely to M2M. We're discussing sensors....

Characteristics of Bhangra :)

Bhangra is something I always love to watch and perform. The energy level, coordination, and team participation are something I have learnt from Bhangra. As far as characteristics are concerned, following areas can be discussed: Health : Bhangra needs a lot of energy and stamina. One has to jump several times during performance being a part of joining steps and formation. Thump on stage should be there when someone is doing the bhangra which one feels proud of. Moving on the whole stage, moving your legs in air half of the time, cardio level warms up (performers play Kabaddi generally to warm up), using a lot of props (very heavy most of the time) and much more make body lean & athletic. So health wise Bhangra has an excellent plan for you. Team skills : Bhangra needs a team of at least 8–10 people. Coordination is a core of bhangra. If one performer is not giving his/her 100% means performance would be affected. Steps and formation are just 40% of the whole ac...

I respect my identity!

"Hey! I guess, sometimes you find it hard to understand things because you wear big cloth on your head and things don't reach your mind because of that cloth ..... " she said and started laughing. She was not anyone else but a senior professor of my college with a good number of degrees and even she has written one book.  In short, she made fun of my look, my identity, my uniqueness and my faith in a set of principles I follow. I don't want to bring any religion into this conversation because for me religion is about controlling one's hatred and accepting others in their true forms. I haven't learnt religion to pray to God aloud in speakers at 4 AM in the morning so that everyone in the colony must know what I'm doing or to hurt people in the name of God. I have learnt religion to control my inner self and anger so that my actions are not driven by my perception but better by my observations. I look different, people stare at me when I ente...

That feeling was just splendid when I got a call from my friend who is studying in IIM Lucknow that Bhai! Ho gea tera. Time was 4:20 PM and I was working on my new project. After that call I started calling my closed ones. NITIE is best among all B-schools let it be IIM A, B, C or any else when it comes to supply chain and operations. Big question, Why MBA?  was answered and that too in style. Oh my God! How would that be to go to classes again, meeting new people, living in Mumbai, doing new assignments, late night chats, parties and lot of college fun.  I called my boss personally and told him everything. He was ...
